In this episode we are joined by Anna's friend and active colleague Rob Penalver, talking all things production. Rob has extensive experience in all aspects of production. Throughout his extensive and successful career, he has had the opportunity to work with some of the most recognized and diverse companies in the world, including Apple, the Grammy Awards, F1 Ferrari Team, the Art Basel Fair, MTV, as well as government entities such the United States Army, the city of New York, the city of Miami Beach and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In addition to graduating from the School of Film Production, Rob also attended the School of Business & Management, which has helped him manage large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $100 million and more than 1,200 employees under his commands. His more than 20 years of experience in different continents, his leadership, his skills, and his ability to resolve unexpected situations with calm thinking and common sense have made him a true reference in the entertainment industry worldwide.

In this episode we are joined by Dillon Evans, talking all things Stage Management. Dillon is a Stage Manager from Southern California, and he now resides in Las Vegas. Currently, he is a Show Caller at AWAKENING, a $120 million USD spectacle at Wynn Las Vegas.
Before creating AWAKENING in 2022, Dillon lived outside of the USA for 6 years of his career. Most recently, he was a Senior Stage Manager in operations for Expo 2020 Dubai. Working on thousands of shows with performers, artists and musicians from around the globe. Prior to that, he was a Show Caller with The House of Dancing Water in Macau, and a Stage Manager with the Mainland China tour of Cavalia. Dillon’s additional work includes Cirque du Soleil, Five Currents, Thinkwell Group, MTV Television Networks, Walking with Dinosaurs, and The Old Globe Theatre. Dillon received his bachelors in Stage Management from the California Institute of the Arts.

In this episode we are joined by Allison Marquez, talking all things singing, dancing, and acting. Allison grew up in Visalia CA and graduated from Golden West high school, where she fostered her love for singing and dancing. She attended Chapman University in Orange County where she received her Bachelors of Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance.
During her time in Orange County, Allison taught private voice and piano lessons at Orange County Music Academy. She was also in multiple singing ensembles. Upon graduating in 2015, Allison set off on her performance journey to Universal Studios Japan working as an actress. After a year in Japan, she enjoyed her time as a Production Vocalist for Celebrity Cruises.
Since 2020, Allison has spent her time closer to home running a theatre arts program in Visalia. She is the director of theatre arts for Dancers Edge. She oversees 150+ students that train and perform in various disciplines of performing arts. Her Production classes spend the school year learning a full musical (kid friendly). They showcase the students hard work in June every season. The kids get to experience live theatre inside and beautiful local facility.
Her Triple Threats performing team, travels the state performing for public and private events. They’re young students train weekly in voice, acting, and dance. They are truly triple threats. And lastly, the program she grew from the ground up: Edge Music. This program is a vocal music-based class that teaches singers the fundamentals of singing and performing. Any style and any experience level can be found in these classes.
Allison is deeply passionate about sharing her experiences with students of all ages. Her goal is to ignite the same desire and drive in students from the Central Valley that was ignited in her. She hopes to create a safe and positive environment where students can explore their creativity and hone their skill set.

In this episode we are joined by Melanie May talking all things art and design. Born and raised in Colombia, Melanie is a Scenic Designer and Art Director, now working also as a Professor in Bogotá. Her sensibility pursues to create rich and compelling universes through visual storytelling. Recent credits include The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (Repertorio Español), Lordes presented at the New Ohio Theater's Ice Factory, On This Side of The World a new musical about the Filipino immigrant experience, Lost Girls (Netflix, Sundance), and Henry V by Saheem Ali (NYU). Melanie holds a Master of Fine Arts from NYU Tisch in Design for Stage and Film.

In this episode we are joined by Padraic Moyles, talking all things dance. Born in Dublin, Padraic emigrated to New York when he was nine years old. At the age of twelve he starred as the principal actor in the Off-Broadway production of Grandchild of Kings, directed by Harold Prince. Dancing under the tutelage of Donny Golden, he joined Riverdance in 1997, going on to become Dance Captain and Principal Dancer. He was nominated for an Ovation Award for his leading role in the show. In 2006 he joined the Broadway production of The Pirate Queen as Dance Captain before returning to Riverdance in 2008. He has had the privilege to perform for a number of heads of state and notable individuals from around the world, including Michelle Obama and Queen Elizabeth II. Padraic is also proud to be the Executive Producer/ Director for the international show Heartbeat of Home which has toured China, North America and played for a six-week run in London’s West End. He was Dance Director and a choreographer on Riverdance: The Animated Adventure. Padraic would like to give special thanks to his wife Niamh and children Juliette-May and Harrison Rhys, his father, brothers and sister for their continued support. He dedicates all his work to his late mother Christine Moyles.

In this episode we are joined by Anatole Norland and Nicole Lippey, talking all things actor, production, and theatre management. Actor’s Pocket Guide was created in 2018 when a frustrated theatre director (Nicole), and technology expert (Anatole), came together and decided to build their own platform to solve organisation, preparation, and communication issues with producing theatre.
Nicole is the artistic director and founder of A Work of Heart Productions, as well as a co-founder of Actor's Pocket Guide. For 8 years, A Work of Heart Productions has been producing shows throughout New Jersey and NYC. Since its creation, Nicole has produced over 30 Off-Broadway shows in New York City with professional actors and singers.
Anatole has a background in building enterprise tech and automating business processes to run more efficiently. In Anatole's current role for a leading CPG Retailer, he has automated 10k+ manual work hours & generated $500k+ in savings, using technology to solve business operations problems. Anatole envisioned Actor's Pocket Guide after watching Nicole spend hundreds of hours producing shows, and then spending hundreds more on the administration around them.
APG is raising awareness within the theatre community to what’s possible outside of the same routine, for companies looking to engage & grow their programs, while reducing budget and overhead. Originally from the USA, Danielle has always been curious about how things work and what is happening behind the scenes, which led her to start dabbling in her local community theatre as a teenager – and she never looked back! Danielle has a BA in Technical Theatre from the University of Wyoming and a MFA in Stage and Production Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She has worked on many exciting projects including cruise ship entertainment with Celebrity Cruises, and theme park entertainment operations at Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi, UAE. More recently, she was a Senior Stage Manager and Show Caller for the Al Wasl nightly shows at Dubai Expo. Danielle is now a freelance entertainment professional based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In this episode we are joined by Josephine Lawrence, talking all things production. Josephine is a Director, Producer and Founder of Orient Unlimited production agency. With a 30+ year career spanning across Theatre, Film, Live Events, Visual & Performing Arts, Josephine has Produced over 1000 projects in the last 20 + years, designed, built, choreographed, staged and toured internationally with some of the biggest names in the respective industries: Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Chanel, Sting, National Geographic, Liberatum, Juno Mak, MSN, HK Ballet, City Contemporary Dance Company Hong Kong and the HK Philharmonic.
Josephine has staged Louis Vuitton in the Forbidden City, Chanel on a rooftop, filmed in the mountains of Vietnam, created a theatre presentations for Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Commes De Garcon and during the pandemic brought the HK film, theatre, music and ballet industries together for a multi-disciplinary collaboration on 13 original shows.
