Episode 157 – Actor’s Pocket Guide with Anatole Norland & Nicole Lippey
Sunday Jan 22, 2023
Sunday Jan 22, 2023
In this episode we are joined by Anatole Norland and Nicole Lippey, talking all things actor, production, and theatre management. Actor’s Pocket Guide was created in 2018 when a frustrated theatre director (Nicole), and technology expert (Anatole), came together and decided to build their own platform to solve organisation, preparation, and communication issues with producing theatre.
Nicole is the artistic director and founder of A Work of Heart Productions, as well as a co-founder of Actor's Pocket Guide. For 8 years, A Work of Heart Productions has been producing shows throughout New Jersey and NYC. Since its creation, Nicole has produced over 30 Off-Broadway shows in New York City with professional actors and singers.
Anatole has a background in building enterprise tech and automating business processes to run more efficiently. In Anatole's current role for a leading CPG Retailer, he has automated 10k+ manual work hours & generated $500k+ in savings, using technology to solve business operations problems. Anatole envisioned Actor's Pocket Guide after watching Nicole spend hundreds of hours producing shows, and then spending hundreds more on the administration around them.
APG is raising awareness within the theatre community to what’s possible outside of the same routine, for companies looking to engage & grow their programs, while reducing budget and overhead. APG is currently working with theatre programs in 30+ states, including several internationally. Actor's Pocket Guide is available for free on iOS, Android, and through your web browser at Actorspocketguide.com

Episode 152 – Performance with Nathanael Philip Mosher
Sunday Dec 18, 2022
Sunday Dec 18, 2022
In this episode we are joined by Nathanael Philip Mosher, talking all things performance. Nathanael is a comedian, poet, singer-songwriter, and aspiring human being. His love of words has led him from poetry to stand-up, singing to songwriting, all while continuing his love for the effervescent glow of poetry through performance and spoken word. As a poet, Nathan’s poetry journey began at age 7 when he was chosen out of his third grade class to read a poem about the school janitor who was leaving after 20 years of service. The poem read, “You help us not slip. You help us not trip…” and so on. Thus, his penchant for rhyming and rhythm was born. At age 10, he was chosen by his 5th grade teacher to enter the Young Storytellers program where his play about a man becoming king of the Martians was acted by “Phil of The Future” star, Ricky Ullman. He continued to write poetry, entering in local workshops such as the historic Beyond Baroque poetry theatre in Venice, California, and eventually the California State Summer School for The Arts at Cal Arts, where he earned notable distinction of becoming a California Arts Scholar. At the California State Summer School for the Arts, which features notable alum such as James Franco, Zac Efron, and Katherine McPhee, he learned his passion for sharing personal stories.
At age 16, he began writing jokes, took to the stage, and began honing his craft at the age of 17 before he was even allowed into comedy clubs. While attending UCLA he took advantage of the burgeoning comedy scene, running shows in lecture halls, theatres, coffee shops, classrooms, and even parking lots, while continuing to perform nightly in the larger LA area. While at college, Nathan also performed around town, even getting a fake ID to perform at bars and comedy clubs. His voracious DIY work ethic compelled him to organize a variety of out of town tours, bringing his trademark informal yet, spellbinding words to stages in London, New York, Boston, D.C., San Francisco, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and as a semi-finalist in New York’s NBC Stand Up for Diversity Showcase. Mosher’s inherent ability to hustle while fostering his craft has elevated him to more recently work with respected acts like Maria Bamford, Ali Wong, and Jo Koy. During his senior year, he proudly signed to the prestigious management company 3Arts Entertainment which works alongside notable clients Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, and Amy Poehler.
