Ep.59: Chris Lashua: Creative Director & Founder, Cirque Mechanics - "The interconnectedness of the work being done by people is part of the image" (Video)

Chris spent most of his youth performing on a freestyle BMX bike. He joined Cirque du Soleil’s “Fascination” for Cirque’s tour of Japan in 1992. He was then commissioned to build a “German Wheel” act for the company, an act he performed for several years in Cirque du Soleil’s “Quidam”. His engineering chops and creative energy led him to 'run away' with his own circus company, Cirque Mechanics.  
Chris believes that innovative mechanical apparatus and the relationship between performer and machine sets his company apart and is at the heart of what makes Cirque Mechanics unique.
Chris is a founding member and currently serves on the board of the American Circus Alliance and is also on the board of the Circus Historical Society.

Ross Mollison is the founder and Impresario Extraordinaire of Spiegelworld, the audacious entertainment and hospitality company behind the hit Las Vegas shows Absinthe at Caesars Palace, Atomic Saloon Show at The Venetian, DISCOSHOW at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd, and The Hook at Caesars Atlantic City. Mollison spearheaded the creation of Spiegelworld’s first restaurant, Superfrico, and the award-winning speak-easy, The Ski Lodge, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as well as Diner Ross, recently named Eater Vegas’ “Best New Restaurant.”

Ep.57: David Mason: Founder,Mobile Mini Circus for Children - "Children need the art of being happy, joyful, hopeful and knowing and learning their bodies" (Audio)

For David Mason, laughter is an antidote to war. In 2002, he founded the Mobile Mini Circus for Children (MMCC) in Afghanistan, dedicating his life to giving young Afghans an opportunity they’ve never had before: to explore their creative potential through a convergence of mind and body. Since then MMCC has been developed by creating a unique pedagogy and infrastructure for supporting children of war. MMCC Global is expanding, now it has 40 social circus teams in Afghanistan 5 in Bangladesh (including 3 in the Rohingya refugee camps) and 3 in Ethiopia.
 
MMCC is a leading Social Circus organization fostering freedom of expression and creative thought through physical arts.  It is “the impossible being possible education,” David says, a way of learning that can heal traumas and promote growth and social identity in the most difficult situations. MMCC’s workshops and arts have benefited millions of people, alone their educational performances have had over 4 million live audience in 28 provinces of Afghanistan.

Kim's compositions feature in films such as Amar (Fatima Mawas) and Love Bites (Jermaine D’Vauz, ABC/Screen Australia). Her theatrical sound design credits include Belvoir Street Theatre, Queensland Theatre, and London’s Roundhouse.  Co-creator and Queen Bee of Hot Brown Honey, Kim continues to lead the revolution with powerful beats, creating soundscapes that resonate globally.
