Episode 206: Dancing Across Cultures with Helena De Graeve (Video)

Helena De Graeve is a 27-year old dancer, dance teacher and choreographer, born and raised in Zulte, Belgium. At a young age, Helena was part of the national rhythmic gymnastics team in Belgium and took part in several World Cups and the European Games in Bremen in 2010. After finishing her bachelor of education in dance at Codarts Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Helena joined a contemporary company named Chrysalis by Jodie Blemings in London. In 2019 she moved to Macau to join the cast of The House of Dancing Water from Dragone as a dancer. The pandemic forced her to focus on her work as a teacher and choreographer and she improved her skills as a performing artist. She joined a project in Ibiza named Alien/Animus Omnis by Manumisson and played in the large scaled spectacle musical The Red Star Line in Belgium. She is currently on tour with The Little Prince of Anne Tournie and Chris Mouron where she plays the role of the Rose.

Currently managing historical Saudi Arabian props in Riyadh, she toured as a stage manager with Helene Fischer through Germany, Switzerland, and Austria last year. In addition to numerous events, shows, and productions, her role as the Leading Venue Duty Manager for the iconic Al Wasl Plaza during Expo 2020 in Dubai was one of the biggest milestones in her professional life. Sophie ran away with multiple circuses and is known for her constant positive thinking.

Episode 204: Production and Operations Management with Lee Forde

Lee Forde former Rock and Roll lighting designer during the 80's and 90's who during 15 years on the road went through the ranks from lighting and set design to production management and eventually Tour management. When Lee came off the road he moved into venues again going through the ranks from production management to operations management and eventually general manager. Lee has work in Arenas and convention centres across the globe and now advises international governments on their plans for such venues. Lee is now based in the middle east and is with us today to talk us through his career to date.

Working in the industry for nearly 20 years Steve has seen many sectors in the Entertainment and Audio Visual space. Every sector has been used to grow and hone a wide verity of skills that have been used on world class shows and events around the globe. Starting in the corporate world this then pushed Steve to travel on cruise ships for a number of years. After a five year stint in London growing yet more corporate businesses Steve settled in Dubai working for Franco Dragone at La Perle. After leaving he went on to build to regions largest immersive venue and now owns his own business with a focus on Lighting, Video and Special Effects.
